Food Garlic

Our Food Garlic comes in mixed varieties, mostly from the Porcelain and Purple Stripe families. The bulbs are of different sizes ranging from small to extra-large. Some bulbs may have slightly open wrappers, be misshapen or have slight staining. 

Note: Many customers also buy our other premium garlic as food when looking for specific varieties.

Food Garlic can generally be stored for 3 to 5 months, depending on the time of year and varieties included. There are approximately 9 to 12 bulbs/pound. 

Bulbs that are sold as food are managed less rigorously through the season and therefore are not selected for seed quality. Although the cloves can technically be planted, they are not ideal for that purpose and are not recommended. See our seed bulbs for quality planting stock.
