Soil Builder Mix combines four proven cover crop species that work together to rebuild the soil quickly. As a group, they provide a balanced approach to increasing the soil biology and rejuvenating the soil.
Includes Tilling Radishes for deep soil penetration, creating better drainage and air movement within the soil. Turnips for nutrient scavenging, improved soil structure and rapid biomass accumulation. Crimson and Persian Clovers for increased nitrogen fertility and improved topsoil tilth.
Soil Builder Mix is easy to till under, making it a great option for growers who want a cover crop that is simple to terminate and won't cause issues with subsequent planting. Once killed, the decomposing plants release nutrients as they break down, feeding the soil biology and the next crop.
Seedlings within the mix are only slightly frost-tolerant (-1 to -3°C), meaning it is best to plant in late spring through early fall. This also helps to delay flowering and maximize biomass development.
