Clover Cover Crops
BENEFITS & USES
Clovers are often planted as green manures, promote soil health, provide feed for pollinators, and reduce the use of fertilizers. They are legumes that form symbiotic relationships with nitrogen-fixing bacteria, known as rhizobia. This allows the plants to increase total nitrogen in the soil without using fertilizer. Clovers also grow extensive root systems that help improve soil structure and drainage.
